Project Design
The proposed project is designed as a peaceful, garden-like setting — preserving green space while serving families with dignity and compassion.
Design Philosophy
The project is designed as a memorial park and mortuary, not a dense development. Buildings are limited in number, carefully sited and surrounded by extensive landscaping.
Landscaped buffers surround the entire property so neighbors primarily see greenery. The design intentionally keeps structures low-profile.
The goal is to preserve this land as a calm, landscaped space — guaranteeing it remains green and open rather than developed into denser or more impactful uses.
Key Features

Project Renderings
Architectural renderings of the proposed Pierce Brothers Mulholland Memorial Park & Mortuary.

The landscaped entry on Valley Circle Boulevard welcomes visitors with trees and lush landscaping.

The low-profile mortuary building is designed to complement the hillside setting and provide a pleasant indoor space for services.

The project preserves the hillside greenery and character of the neighborhood, blending in as a low-impact use of the land.

The mortuary is designed to be set back from Valley Circle Boulevard, with a mix of fencing and landscaping around the property's perimeter.
Respecting Community Character
Memorial parks are among the quietest and least disruptive land uses. The project guarantees the site remains green and open rather than developed into denser or more impactful uses. Landscaping, fencing and lighting are designed to protect privacy and maintain neighborhood character.
Funeral services are small, quiet, and primarily daytime events — an average of 1-2 services per day. Construction will only happen during approved daytime hours, and we'll work closely with neighbors and elected officials to ensure surrounding communities are informed and impacts are minimized.
